Shampooing and Drying Assistance

This Prim + Proper service includes shampooing and conditioning, and blow drying clients to your desired state.

3 hr, $150

+Styling Assistance

This service includes all "Shampoo and Drying Assistance" services, in addition to preparing tools and assisting professionals while styling (i.e., holding sections, passing foil for speedy color service, etc.). This also includes braid-downs for hair extensions. 

 

Note: Assistants will not prepare chemical products such as mixing hair color.

+Sanitation and Inventory Management

This service includes all "Shampooing and Drying Assistance" and "+Styling Assistance," in addition to cleaning and sanitizing professionals' workspace, laundry and towel management, and maintaining inventory management.

 

Assistants will help manage inventory by keeping track of salon supplies, such as shampoos, conditioners, and styling products. Upon request, assistants can restock as needed.

3 hr, $210

Client and Appointment Management

This service does not include any of the services above. This is a separate service that can be requested individually or as an add-on to the above options.

 

This includes client management (such as calling prospective clients via phone, and replying to emails and/or direct messages) and appointment management.

NEXT STEPS

Select your service, assistant, date and time, and contact information. Within 48 hours, an assistant will reach out to you to schedule a 15 - 30 minute consultation call. This call will help ensure that we can provide exquisite service to you and your clients. Assistant will gain an understanding of hair stylists needs, scheduled services during service time, and all other proper ways of working in the salon / suite.

 

Once consultation has been completed, the Assistant will confirm the scheduled appointment. 

 

On the day of the service, the Assistant will arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled time of service to prepare for assisting!

We not only have great skills and customer service, but we are an on-demand salon assistance business. Hairstylists may not need an assistant at all times; however, on those days and times that they do - we are available to help make their days smoother and more efficient.

    Prim + Proper salon assistant enhances your salon experience by providing services like shampooing and conditioning, making sure you're comfortable, and assisting stylists during your service. This allows the stylist to focus on creating and styling desired looks. By giving the hairstylists their time back, the Prim + Proper salon assistant efficiencies which could lead to servicing more clients quicker, thus helping increase revenue.
  • How many hairstylists can a Prim + Proper assistant accommodate? And for how long?
    Prim + Proper Assistants only service (1) hairstylist per session. Each session is at least 3 hours. If interested in booking for longer, please contact us and we'll manually book appointment for longer.
  • Do salon assistants receive training?
    Yes, all Prim + Proper salon assistants are licensed cosmetologists and typically undergo additional training to learn proper techniques, safety measures, and the salon's specific procedures.
  • Can salon assistants provide hair services independently?
    Prim + Proper salon assistants only support licensed stylists and do not perform hair services independently. Their primary role is to assist stylists and ensure a smooth client experience.
  • Is it customary to tip Prim + proper Salon Assistants?
    It is a common practice for hairstylists’ clients to tip salon assistants. Prim + Proper Salon Assistants will have QR codes handy for easy access. Hairstylists are also welcome to tip their Prim + Proper Salon Assistants, but it is not required.
  • How can I schedule an appointment with a Prim + Proper salon assistant?

    Yes, you can request a specific Prim + Proper salon assistant when booking your appointment, although availability may vary. We'll do our best to accommodate your request.
